Classic Waterfront Wedding at Toledo Country Club

Sarah and Ryan’s wedding day at the historic Toledo Country Club was the perfect blend of timeless tradition and thoughtful modern detail. Set against the charm of a 250-year-old venue, the couple envisioned a garden party with a fresh, romantic twist—white and blush florals layered with soft pops of peach and yellow, blooming everywhere from the tabletops to the jaw-dropping floral chandelier suspended above the reception space.

Sarah’s love of flowers inspired nearly every element of the décor, including string lighting that gave both the indoor and outdoor spaces a warm, celebratory glow. The floral arrangements were extra meaningful—many were placed in heirloom Waterford vases passed down through generations of women in Sarah’s family, adding both elegance and heart to the reception tables.

After a joyful ceremony, the couple and their wedding party hopped on a party bus to the Toledo Museum of Art for portraits—an iconic backdrop that perfectly balanced classic architecture with artistic spirit. One of my favorite touches from the day: Sarah included childhood drawings from her diary days—whimsical illustrations of a love story with a boy named Ryan (yes, really!)—on the custom napkins and matchboxes. It was playful, nostalgic, and beautifully personal.

As the sun set, a live band filled the space with energy and emotion while guests danced the night away under the glow of the lights and florals. Every part of this day felt full of meaning, connection, and the kind of love that lasts.
